Glue Dots Altered Art Projects and NEW Dots!

Hi everyone! (: Today I am sharing a couple of projects using some new Glue Dots products. They are so handy and I am so glad they came out with these.

Tissue Paper Flowers project:

For this Flower frame I used the 2" XXL Glue Dots. The background stamp is from Hero Arts Newpaper background and the twine is from The Twinery.

Project Instructions:
- Cut white cardstock to desired size for your frame.
- Stamp background with your choice of ink.
- Mist with Tattered Angels Snowflake mist.
- Adhere twine stem and leaves with Micro Glue Dots.
- Stamp sentiment on background.
- Cut a piece of tissue paper about 1ft long and fold in half.

- Scrunch

- Using the 2" XXL Glue Dot roll the folded tissue paper in a circle around the dot while folding it until you cover the whole dot.

-Adhere to your background.
- You can spritz your flowers with mist like I did to give them shine.
- Adhere a button to the center if desired.

.........

Wool Felt Flowers project:

For this project I used the 1" XL Glue Dots. The background stamp is the same I used for the project above, the felt is from Papertrey Ink, twine is from The Twinery, flower die and cloud die is from My Favorite Things and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Project Instructions:
- Cut white cardstock to the shape for your frame and stamp with the background stamp.
- I spritzed the background with Studio Calico Mister Huey misters.
- Cut your choice of colored felt or you can use cardstock and die cut flowers and cloud.
- Adhere twine stem and leaves with Micro Glue Dots.
- Roll your flower until you get your desired look then adhere with the 1" XL Glue Dots.
-Adhere flowers to background.
- Stamp sentiment to bg.
Enjoy! (:

Cards and Tags, oh my!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Wanted to share some cards and tags I did over the weekend. I was really on a roll this weekend, cranking out some cards for the PC Magazine Stamp It call. Fingers crossed!

My first card and tag I did for the current contest over at Hero Arts: Love, Hugs and Kisses!

No sentiment card, I really liked it without one. On this card I used the Patterned Heart from HA. I LOVE this stamp! I stamped it with Distress Inks and finished it off with some twine from The Twinery.

For my tag, I used 3 stamps - Hero Arts Newspaper Background, Old Letter Writing Background, and Heart Winged Butterfly. I distress the background with Distress Ink Evergreen bough and colored the butterflies with copic markers. Finished this off with some twine from The Twinery.

And for this tag, I used some Unity Stamps. I just got the bees and love them! Finished it off with some twine from The Twinery. As you can tell, I love twine! This card is for the Ribbon Carousel challenge, non-traditional colors.

Thanks for peeking in today! Have a great week!
I will be at CHA from Sat-Wed, if you want updates from CHA join my twitter - the link is on the sidebar.

Hi everyone!! Seems like time just flies. I have been so busy lately with everything I haven't had much time to create. Some great creative things happening lately and I wish I could share with you, I can't wait till I can! It's so exciting!! Im also working on some wee-designs for clients and trying to get my design files transferred to my Mac. Also buying the programs I need for my new Mac and saving up for AI for Mac eek! Plus school is almost out and we are going on vacation Memorial Day weekend, I cant wait! So lots to do for me, not a dull moment. I cant wait to spend the weekend relaxing on the beach, its going to be a nice refresher.

I did take a little time to make a couple of cards for the current Hero Arts contest - Fabulous Flowers and ATC's. If you haven't played in the Hero Arts contests before, I encourage you to play and join the Flickr Group. Such a great group of women over there, we are all a large extended family. Everyone is so lovely and there are so many activities always going on. And the contests are so much fun, and HA is so generous with their prizes. I adore HA!

First card I did using the Magical Flower from Hero Arts. To finish it off, I used some charcoal twine from The Twinery.

For this card I used a new stamp set I picked up today. Its called Sweet Threads Set by Hero Arts. And again I finished this card off with some honeydew twine from The Twinery. LOVE my twine! I did 2 versions of this card - which do you like better?

My new room and a card!!

Hi everyone!! Im so excited I can share with you my new room! It was allot of work to tear down, move, clean, patch, paint, carpet, put Ikea stuff together, hang, put everything back, etc. Took 3 days but I am more than overjoyed with the results!

Lemme show you the before:
(Click on any of the pictures for a larger size)

Look at that horrible carpet! Yuck! And those tables were 'ok' but not what I really wanted. And everything was semi-organized but really didn't have a place. I wanted the room to be functional.

Heres the room emptied out:

This is only a small part of my stuff. The rest was in my closet and in the hallway. But you can see how much stuff I have and emptied out of the room.

Now for the next step after painting and carpet, putting the furnishings in:

My hard workers - my Husband (in the star wars shirt) and our family friend. They are hanging shelves after putting in the Ikea furnishings.

Now the best part, after putting everything back. Heres my new room:

To the left is my new Mac. On the floor is my baby Prince. And to the right is my stamp shelves and desk.

From the previous picture, turn your head left in the room and you come to the first Expedit Ikea cubbie. I still have allot of organizing to do. And Ikea didn't have the right containers I wanted so everything is in the open. I have to order containers and I plan on hanging paper lanterns from the ceiling. Can't wait!!

Swing around and left and you come to the next cubbies. Again more organization still happening and I can't wait to get the containers so everything doesn't show. I like things very CAS.

Swing left again and you come to the entrance as you are facing out from my desk. Isn't the Hawaiian shores paint gorgeous? I LOVE IT!! Hubby has to finish the carpet at the entry.

Swing left again (we are doing a 360 if you didn't figure that out already lol) and you can see a close up of my stamp shelves and rack. There are so many stamps on that rod that its bowing LOL. And you can see the gorgeous twine, copics, sewing machine, Hero Arts stamps and so much more. (And the cute little flower drawing you see in the left corner of the picture done by my daughter tonight for me, she loves the room)

Turn left just a hair and you see my paper storage and more stamps.

Turn around left more and you see a close up of my cubbie and Mac.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my new studio!! I LOVE IT!! I am in Heaven! It's my dream come true. I have always wanted a room like this with lots of storage and a bright and cheerful color. I love to feel happy when I am crafting and this room definitely makes me so happy!!

And I was so excited to do my first card in my room! I couldn't wait!! So here is my first card in my new room:

I just LOVE the painted wall as a background for cards too!! For this card I used some Hero Arts stamps, some Echo Park Paper 'For the Record' and some twine.

Thanks for letting me share this excitement with you! Im so overly happy with the end results and its so nice to be done for the most part and be able to create in my new room!

Have a wonderful week!

Trigger Happy

Hi everyone! :) :) Happy Friday (almost for me) TGIF!!

I created another card for the  Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge - A Polka Dotted Hullabaloo and for the current Hero Arts contest which ends tonight. These challenges worked great together again with the TT inspiration and the masculine challenge.

Just wanted to play again before times up!
I love polka dots so I had to play again! But this time I played off the colors of the trigger.

For this card I used the Hero Arts set - Let's Chill and Oceans of Joy, two of my fav sets! And I love making sand with kraft cardstock, its so easy! I colored everything with Copics.

This is the Trigger:

Thanks for peekin' in again! :) :) :)
I love having you all visit!! If you leave a comment I will come visit you. I am trying to make time to get around more, I try and then time gets away from me. Plus I am packing up my studio for the remodel. So excited for that! Also we have friends coming over tomorrow night. Busy busy weekend!

Off to work on some wee-designs!
Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy it!
HUGS! :) :) :)

This, that and more!

Hi everyone! Hope your having a great week!! Just wanted to share some creations with you today. First is a card I did for the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge - A Polka Dotted Hullabaloo. And this is also for the current Hero Arts contest. These challenges worked great together with the TT inspiration and the masculine challenge.

On my card I used Hero Art stamps - Everyday Sayings & Circular Designs. I inked them up with some Hero Arts ink and Memento.

For my next card, I created this for the Unity Stamp Co. Challenge - Birds.

For this card I used Unity Stamps from - So & So Loves and Could I be any Cuter? I colored the bird with my Copics and finished it off with some twine from The Twinery.

....

Just a bit about what I have been up to, been so busy with web designs, DT work for my own and others and planning out the remodel of my studio. Im so excited, I cant wait! I have been wanting to do this for a long time and I will finally be getting the chance. I will take before and after to show what I did but its going to take time because I want it to be just what I have in my head for how I want it done. The hard part is tearing apart my studio and moving it, eek! I have so much stuff! First thing is first, we have to have the air conditioning on our house looked at. If that costs too much I will have to put the remodel on hold. Summers coming and we need to make sure its working good.

Thanks for peekin' in and letting me share my creations with you!
Have a great day!
